Kelloch Velasco Playground

With over 4,000 acres and 224 properties, the Recreation and Parks Department manages a large and diverse park system that provides recreation facilities and programs for all of the city’s residents and visitors. Thanks to a series of voter-approved general obligation bonds, the City has completed many park, playground, and open space improvements across the City since 2000 and continues to improve many more. Despite these investments and another G.O. bond in 2012, more than a quarter of a million dollars in improvements are deferred beyond the current ten-year Capital Plan.
