Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing

With a mandate to end homelessness for at least 8,000 people by 2020, the newly formed Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (HSH) provides assistance and support to homeless and at‐risk youth, adults and families to prevent imminent episodes of homelessness and end homelessness for people in San Francisco. Services include outreach, homelessness prevention, emergency shelter, drop‐in centers, transitional housing, supportive housing, short‐term rental subsidies, and support services. HSH is currently engaged in a rigorous strategic planning process that will guide capital and operating efforts in the years ahead.
