For 120 years, the City and County of San Francisco has turned the lessons of the 1906 earthquake into real action. We’ve strengthened emergency facilities, retrofitted thousands of vulnerable buildings, expanded our Emergency Firefighting Water System, and launched a new screening program for older concrete buildings.
