The San Francisco Housing Authority (SFHA) is responsible for providing and maintaining housing for very low income families, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities. SFHA’s portfolio is changing as its units undergo conversion to private, non-profit management. Nearly all of SFHA’s funding is from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and rents paid by residents.
